I’m an ex-felon with PTSD and a dozen convictions hung around my neck. I’ve been judged, sentenced and stigmatized — for life. Fortunately, I’ve also had the love and support of my family, friends, and an amazing community. Besides being an ex-prisoner, I’m also a residential contractor and electrician, empowered with plenty of opportunities to provide for my family. I didn’t plan to be a felon, and I never imagined I’d be a writer, either. Nonetheless, Daedalus was born in a prison cell — a madman scribbling runes to make sense of wrong, a budding awareness in pursuit of enlightenment. It’s the pen name I employ, and how I learned to soar.
